Kaitlyn's Tunic Sweater Finished

After putting my daughter's tunic sweater down for a while to work on some other projects, I finally picked it up again and finished it yesterday!  Yeah!

I think it turned out really cute and she loves it!  In fact, she wore it to Sunday School right after it was finished.  If you'd like to make one yourself, you can find the pattern on the Caron yarn website here.  If you'd like one made for you please contact me.  I'll be happy to work with you to create a beautiful sweater for the lovely girl in your life!

  1. I am trying to make this but I am so confused by the smocking instructions. How do you "(p2, k2, p2, k2, p2) over next 5 sts."? Wouldn't that be ten stitches? And on the front bodice, I have no idea what "Beg with Row 12 of Smocking st" would mean. Any hints would be deeply appreciated!

    1. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I just saw your comment. I'm not finding the first part of your question in the directions. I see on the Front Bodice it says to repeat the k2, p2 until the last 5 sts and then k the rest. If not, please let me know & I can see if I can figure it out for you. On the "Beg with Row 12 of Smocking st", you're picking up the stitches you have held after doing the back bodice. Before dividing the front & back you would have just finished row 11 of the rows 1-16 of the smocking st pattern, so you'll continue on row 12 of the pattern when you reattach the yarn and start on the front bodice. Hopefully that makes sense. :)
